Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Thinking of this holiday inevitably brings this 1987 John Q's classic comedy/drama to mind for me. Especially the final scene which I find so incredibly heartwarming here's a little trivia for you Martin's wife is currently in the fourth season of Homeland

Watch the new trailer for the next film in the gasoline drenched completely fucking awesome relaunched "Planet Of The Apes" film franchise. Get some.
"The movie is an adaption of a book of the same name, by Sol Yurick, The book, is actually based on a 4th Century B.C. story about a bunch of Greek mercenaries during the Persian War trying to get home after their leader Cyrus is killed. Updated and molded to modern day the final product shines. The mercenaries are now a gang from Coney Island NY."

If Hollywood were a man, he died along time ago, and someone who looks like him has been in the cockpit, at the controls for years and years now.
Is this movie seriously supposed to entertain us?
Just watch….and laugh your ass off.
What up yo. So Duke has been riding me about watching this trailer. He sent it to me 5 days ago and since then has laid down suppressing fire of phone calls emails and text messages demanding I watch it. I'm not exaggerating. I gave in 20 mins ago and watched this trailer. Holy shit. This. Looks. Like. Bad. Fucking. Ass. Ambitious. Original. High. Octane. Diesel. Fuel. Drenched. Film. Making. My friend Duke.
Congrats to the winners, condolences to those who didn't win. They shouldn't be too discouraged. The Oscars are fixed. Any award show where the winner stands to profit millions of dollars is corruptible. The Academy Award has the distinction of being the crème de la crème of film awards. However more often than not, film excellence is not rewarded...playing the Hollywood game is. The truly innovative films, film makers actors and actresses who don't play by the rules, who prove to be too radical minded to be considered safe and sound representatives of the billion dollar empire that is Hollywood... What up yo. I was catching up on a few new trailers last night & I went on over to HD-Trailers.net, which I consider to be the best source for high definition trailers on the net, & I caught this trailer. It rocked my face off. The film is called "Stalingrad". It's a Russian film, made on a budget of $30 mill, shot digitally (5K source) for IMAX 3D...the visuals look absolutely gorgeous. $30 mill. Dude. Michael Bay couldn't shoot this exact footage for $150 mill, and the film makers here made it work. Now, I haven't seen the film...I […]
David O. Russell creates another ensemble piece that has magic in every corner. The script is stellar , the cast is a knock out & the performances from Bale, Cooper, Lawrence and Adams are fantastic.
I could go off here for a while about the beauty of Anton's eye, how he paints with images, how the black and white photography in this film shot by cinematographer Martin Ruhe is gorgeous and the entire film looked like silk to me, but I'm sitting in a parking lot banging this out on my iPad and I need to get back home. But listen. I didn't know much about Joy Division before watching this film. Then as it progressed, and because I have this crush on all things Great Britain (I'm going home to my British SwePea), I […]

The Purge: Anarchy | Trailer & Art
Grease the film musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John was a blockbuster in the theaters in 1978, and is simply iconic 40 years later. A feat very few films an claim.
"YOU GOTTA KNOW THE TERRITORY" "LOOK! WHAT D'YA TALK, WHAT D'YA TALK, WHAT D'YA TALK, WHAT D'YA TALK!" What up yo. I used to watch this one with my Mom. I had forgotten the music, why I liked it, then I watched a few days ago...and watching the opening number "Rock Island" (they did a great job touching this BluRay up. Video & Sound) hurled me backwards in time to 1981, being a kid, sitting with Mom and watching this...memories I always appreciate. The opening number to me is gasoline. High octane. Listening to them perform this...watching them perform this...me […]
This is from the almighty Cameron Crowes website, "The Uncool" on Phillip Seymour Hoffmans performance of the midnight phone call scene in his autobiographical film "Almost Famous". PSH "My original take on this scene was a loud, late night pronouncement from Lester Bangs. A call to arms. In Phil’s hands it became something different. A scene about quiet truths shared between two guys, both at the crossroads, both hurting, and both up too late. It became the soul of the movie. In between takes, Hoffman spoke to no one. He listened only to his headset, only to the words of […]
