This is the film…This Is "Joker Rising"
Breaking my own rules, I’m bashing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 based on the trailer alone. Why?
A: What we had was wonderful
B: This reboot after less than 10 years is foolish and transparent
C: Because the trailer here is cringeworthy
Afflicted Don’t miss this. This is what independent cinema see stands for.A fantastic vision, realized perfectly.
“It’s sounding great, But Fellas, I Could Have Used A Little More Cowbell…”
What up yo. I was catching up on a few new trailers last night & I went on over to HD-Trailers.net, which I consider to be the best source for high definition trailers on the net, & I caught this trailer. It rocked my face off. The film is called "Stalingrad". It's a Russian film, made on a budget of $30 mill, shot digitally (5K source) for IMAX 3D...the visuals look absolutely gorgeous. $30 mill. Dude. Michael Bay couldn't shoot this exact footage for $150 mill, and the film makers here made it work. Now, I haven't seen the film...I […]
“Lua, Written By and performed by prodigy Conor Oberst…because the song is hauntingly, beautiful and perfection…I share it with you.”
Every word is poetry.
Conor has been called a modern day Bob Dylan, The here is a reason for that.
I share it with you.
David O. Russell creates another ensemble piece that has magic in every corner. The script is stellar , the cast is a knock out & the performances from Bale, Cooper, Lawrence and Adams are fantastic.
Harold Ramis man...
You can't dream up a career with that many milestones.
He gave a lot of laughter to the world, which in my book, is priceless.
Again, sending love out to his family and loved ones...Harold Ramis was one of Hollywood's greatest figures.
House Of Cards
A diverse cast, Immoral main characters, Strong female roles, never spoon-feeding the complex story to the audience. Bravo.
That's what watching this film was doing to me...it was a beautiful love letter to Joy Division, and when the film ended...I went on a Joy Division frenzy for a few months.
Some movies have those magic scenes that give you chills. That speak to your soul. To your heart.
The scene below...pure magic I wanted to share with you.

Here's a little clip from "Pearl Jam 20", the documentary film from Cameron Crowe.
The "Mama-Son" tape refers to the instrumental containing versions of what would become "Once" "Alive" & "Footsteps". Eddie Vedder received the tape from his friend, former Chili Peppers drummer and future short-term PJ drummer (Yield) back in 1990.
The film musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John was a blockbuster in the theaters in 1978, and is now iconic 40 years later.
A feat very few films can claim.
Dylan farrow responds to Woody Allen’s defense that her accusations are not true:
"Woody Allen has an arsenal of lawyers and publicists but the one thing he does not have on his side is the truth. I hope this is the end of his vicious attacks and of the media campaign by his lawyers and publicists, as he’s promised.
I won't let the truth be buried and I won't be silenced."
