GAME OF THRONES:

SEASON 5 PLAYLIST

In addition to the clips and trailer which I felt was a bit underwhelming (just saying)

HBO has released for us bloggers to post to our hearts content the full 30 min special:

GAME OF THRONES:

A DAY IN THE LIFE

This is a great special detailing one day behind the scenes of Game Of Thrones Season 5 in September, 2014.

One day of Thrones takes place in three different locations around Europe all at once.

If you didn’t know, Thrones shoots each of the seven kingdoms in 4 to 5 different locations around the world every season.

To break it down:
Each season, HBO delivers 10 big-budget-film like episodes.

Now, that’s 10 hours of film.

The original Lord of the Rings Trilogy, all three films, were nine hours combined(theatrical releases) and they shot that over the course of 2 to 3 years.

Thrones is 10 hours every year, and this being the series fifth season equates to 50 hours of epic and groundbreaking filmmaking combined.

Meaning that once one season has wrapped there is a mere two or three months before the crews must do it all over again.

The amount of work needed to accomplish this in such a short amount of time every year is nothing short of astonishing.

To achieve this feat, 2 to 3 film crews must shoot in 2 to 3 different countries all around the world simultaneously while other crews build & construct sets in upcoming locations in preparation for when those shoots move to them.

It has to be a very well oil machine to work as well as it does.

Tight and efficient.

This series alone one of the reasons why we are living in the golden age of television now.
Nothing like this is ever been done before.

I don’t think we, the audience, really have any idea of how massive an undertaking realizing this series from page to screen is for all involved.

It’s mind-boggling and this 30 minute special takes us into one 24 hour period of shooting in Ireland Dubrovnik and Spain.

Enjoy. Be appreciative.
And remember troops, had it not been for HBO’s Rome kicking open the doors to the epic long format television series…never would have been a Game of Thrones.
Thirteen.

And finally, we got some pics from the new season…which you will find splattered below.

So let’s do this people…

“LET’S LIGHT THE BIGGEST FIRE THE NORTH HAS EVER SEEN!”

Keep checking back, the more they release, the more ill post, for you, right here.

Rock.
