Then my phone rang.

He was speaking in tongues.
It was like listening to the last transmission from Kathryn Railly in “12 Monkeys”

“HAVE A MERRY CHRIIISTMAAAS!!!!“

I owe it to him to tell you what I made out:

“CHECK ALL EMAIL ACCOUNTS…”

[unclear]

“NEW TRAILER…”

[muddled words]

“APES!!!”

[violence]

“FUCKING…”

[loud noises]

“AWESOME…”

[car crash]

“MUST GET!!!

[gun fire]

“VOICES!!!!”

[police sirens]

“YOU’LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!!!!”

[end transmission]

Don’t worry.
I’ve gotten that call once a month for the last 20 years.
