Josh Hartnett, reborn. Reinvigorated.
Once a matinee idol, the longer he acted the more diverse the roles he chose got.
He turned down Superman, he left Hollywood.
Now I know why he came back for this.

This woman was truly extraordinary in the Starz series “Camelot”.
I first saw her dominate and seduce the movie screen in Bertalucci’s magnificent and taboo “The Dreamers“…she has aged like fine wine.
Billie Piper…back from being a call girl in that charming show, but the real jewel is Harry Treadaway as Victor Frankenstein.
This guy is on fire.
There is a vitality and elegance to the photography, which gives it massive points to me, a confidence in the storytelling, in the first 2 episodes they have dealt with Dorian Grey, Frankenstein, Vampires, Jack the Ripper…all with a polished look that assures my inner visual critic that Sam Mendes is, in fact, charge.
