“OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN”
Duke here on a dark day.
Just when I thought my day couldn’t get any worse a friend told me about Robin Williams.
At first I was “no …. its one of those celeb hoaxes”.
I plugged in and SOFAB it was true.
I grew up with him for God sake!
His stand ups are hilarious.
He was “Mork From Ork“.
The maniac alien in a red suit!. A stupid 80s comedy.
But that was the platform which he sprung off of.
He splashed into the pool with Good Morning Vietnam,
Patch Adams to show his drama chops and just to show he hadn’t lost his comedic side the ever funny Mrs. Doubtfire.
I guess he was Enrico Caruso’s
“Pagliacci”
…The sad clown.
I’m a big fan of the movie/TV show M.A.S.H., loved it.
The theme songs title is called “Suicide is painless”.
It’s not painless to the friends and family you leave behind.
You don’t end your pain, you just transfer it to them as they grieve for you.
Yeah, you were depressed Robin, all you had to do is turn to your thousands of fans to understand you were not alone.
That you were revered as an actor, comedian … as a person. I’m sorry you didn’t see that soon enough.
R.I.P. Robin, hope you have piece.
Duke out
What Up Yo.
Robin Williams has left us.
He looked straight into oblivion and said:
“I’d rather be there than here.”
When one can do that,
when one see’s that as a viable option…
The pain they feel must be beyond most of our comprehension.
He was an immense talent.
Simply Immense.
He just caused a lot of pain…to brutally end his own…and he will be missed.
Our thoughts go to his friends, family and loved ones…
May God and the angels comfort them during this awful time.
And may God have mercy on Robins soul and help Robin find his way back home,
Towards the light…
Because he could no longer find his way to it here.
We love you Robin, god damn it.
God bless your soul, and may you find your smile again in the afterlife.
